2.2 Thesis topic and description

The topic of the thesis should be closely linked to the student’s studies and work. The student formulates a short topic proposal that defines the topic and describes the objectives, research problem, development needs and the methods to be used. The thesis supervisor approves the topic.

The student writes a short and concise proposal paper on the thesis including the following:

  • the author and his/her contact information
  • working life contact
  • the topic of the thesis and preliminary name
  • justifications for choosing the topic
  • objectives
  • topic definitions
  • methods used for acquiring information
  • preliminary timetable and
  • the contact information of the working life representative
