The thesis process is assessed on a scale excellent (5), good (4 or 3) or satisfactory (2 or 1). The process is assessed by the supervising teacher. If needed, the instructor (second supervisor) also assesses the process.
The assessment is based on the written report, on the product or event (when applicable), the student’s seminar presentations, possible background material and the general perception of the student’s development in the different parts of the process as detected during the supervision of the process.
If the student is not satisfied with the grade, they can apply for reassessment from the degree board of Centria University of Applied Sciences. The guide Assessment of studies and credit transfer will be applied in this situation.
The criteria for assessing the thesis process are presented in the table below. The criteria are used as the basis for the assessment statement written by the supervisor.
