Centria Guide for Thesis and Academic Writing

Audio and video recordings (videos, TV programmes, podcasts etc.)

Audiovisual materials, such as TV programs, films, video clips, podcasts, can also be used as sources in a thesis.

When using such a source, one should check the reference information in the metadata of the source. This can be, for example, the title page or similar, home page, record cover, end credits or metadata embedded in the source. Sometimes the metadata can also be, for example, the back of the title page, title, cover, label, description of illustrated work, as well as TV and radio program listings.
