Guide updated 2/2024
The Ministry of Education and Culture collects annual data on the publishing activities of higher education staff. The data is reported to the Ministry as part of the data collection process for universities of applied sciences. The number of publications by staff is part of the performance of the UAS, so it is important that all professional and scientific publications by staff are reported. Artistic activities, such as theatre or music performances, are also part of the data collection, as are invention and patent applications and the development of various software and IT solutions.
It is the responsibility of each individual to ensure that publications in which he or she has been involved in one way or another are reported in the publications data collection. This is done by filling in a form with the required information. In the case of written publications, they must also be submitted to the Centria Library for data storage and verification.
Justus, the publication data storage service, is used, where the author enters the publication data directly into the system. The accepted publication data will be available later on the Research.fi website.
