Backuping Mendeley database

A database backup is necessary if, for example, one plans to switch from another reference manager to another. Backup is done as follows:

  1. Log in to Mendeley.
  2. Select the references from which you want to create a backup.
  3. Click Export > RIS - Research Information Systems (*.ris) in the bottom bar of the page.
  4. Save the RIS file to the appropriate folder on your computer.
