Coordinators set degree programmes for themselves

When logging into Wihi for the first time, the coordinators adjust the settings of their own profiles by selecting the degree programmes in which they act as coordinators. By doing this, the coordinators will receive email notifications of the topic proposals sent by the students in their own
degree programmes. Please note: Each degree programme should only have one coordinator who is responsible for approving the topic proposals and for designating advisors for thesis projects.

Email settings

The coordinator and the advisor select from the settings whether a Wihi email should be sent for each event or whether a compilation of the events of the previous day or week should be sent. The email notifications should not be completely disabled.

At the upper right corner, select your name and then click Settings.

You can decide how often you want to receive an email compilation of the topic proposals and other events:

  • No compilation
  • Immediate compilation
  • Daily compilation (recommended)
  • Weekly compilation

Also set the day if you select the weekly compilation. The compilation is sent at about 8 a.m.

Automatic email messages

The coordinators can subscribe to the bulletins of the degree programmes they have selected:

  • A new topic proposal has arrived
  • The student has sent a message concerning the topic proposal
  • The advisor has rejected the proposed project

The advisor receives automatic email messages when:

  • He/she has been set as the advisor for a thesis

  • A new student has been added to the thesis project
  • The student has added an attachment (the same message will be sent to the advisor when the student sends the file for plagiarism check)
  • The student has added a message
  • The plagiarism check is ready

The student receives automatic email messages when:

  • A student is invited to join a thesis project
  • The coordinator comments on a topic proposal
  • The coordinator approves the topic proposal and an advisor has been set for the thesis
  • A new student has been added to the thesis project
  • The advisor has sent a message
